About

Glamping with respect for the Gulf

Playa Tortugas is a quiet, clean and uncrowded stretch of the Gulf of Mexico where the sea reaches the dunes and the palms sway all night. There are no chain hotels or high-rise concrete here — just the coast, the wind, and a glamping project built not to disturb the wildlife.

We operate four types of accommodation (beachfront house, bungalow, standard room and tent) plus guided experiences. Jul–Nov season, green sea turtle hatchlings return to this beach to nest — and we accompany them without profiting from the release.

If you're looking for a resort, this isn't it. If you want to sleep to the sound of waves and wake up with salt on your face, you've arrived.

Frequently asked

Before booking read this

How do I get here from Mexico City?

Federal highway via Poza Rica (6 h) or Xalapa (3 h 30 min). By air, the nearest airport is Veracruz (VER), 2 h by car. AIFA is about 5 h away.

Is there wifi?

Yes, in common areas and bungalows. It's coastal wifi — fine for messages and photos, but don't expect 4K streaming. We recommend unplugging.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome. Please let us know when booking and keep them leashed in common areas. There is local wildlife (turtles, crabs) that must not be disturbed.

When does the turtle release happen?

July through November, evenings at dusk. It's an educational experience at NO charge (we do not profit from conservation). Spots are limited per nest — we notify guests the same day.

Do you accept card?

Yes — card, SPEI bank transfer, and OXXO cash deposit. The payment gateway links to your reservation. We ask for proof of payment or full settlement on check-in day.

What's included in the rate?

Accommodation, filtered water, coffee/tea in common areas, parking, beach access and common areas. Guided experiences are quoted separately (except the turtle release, which is free).

What is the cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 7 days before check-in. Between 7 and 2 days, 50% is charged. Less than 48 h, non-refundable. Rescheduling is free subject to availability.
